L.O.C.A.T.E.

Livestock, Off-Road Vehicle, Commercial, Agricultural and Theft Electronic Network.

This is an online neighborhood watch program for rural populations and commercial equipment owners in South Central Kansas.

The objective of this program is to quickly and efficiently get information regarding stolen farm equipment, livestock theft, livestock recovery, commercial equipment and suspicious activities distributed to citizens living or working in Butler and Surrounding counties.  We want to inform all participants of suspicious activities and crime in your neighborhood, farming community, and construction sites.

If you are an agricultural producer, livestock owner, farmer's cooperative, implement dealer, construction business, insurance company or anything similar and would like to register for L.O.C.A.T.E., you may do so by filling out this easy online form.  All that is needed to register for L.O.C.A.T.E. is your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and type of business.  You don't have to be a business to register.  For any questions, contact the Butler County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division at 316-322-4257 or e-mail locate@bucoks.com.

Once an individual or business has been added to the distribution list, they will be able to receive e-mails from L.O.C.A.T.E. alerting you to thefts, recovered livestock or equipment or suspicious activities.  Bear in mind, this does not take the place of calling 911.  If there is an emergency that requires law enforcement response, please call 911.
